Tranquility Base is a cozy, romantic retreat on route 66, 1/2 mile from 36 (Map). The trailer has a large living room including three couches and there are two bedrooms and a full bath. All amenities including washer, dryer, dishwasher, VHs-CD player. Nearby activities include hiking, horseback riding, hayrides, canoe rentals, fun park on weekends, and many antique and souvenir shops. The whole area is devoted to tourists and wildlife lovers. There is also hunting in season. Some of the wildlife spotted at Tranquility Base include: porcupines, black bear and many species of deer. The property adjoins land owned by the township devoted to hiking and part of the Pennsylvania Wilds. There are trails on the property that meet the wilderness trail, part of an old logging road, which is several miles of secluded beauty. There is also a nice tent site on the property (your tent or ours). There is a fire pit which can be used to cook meals weather permitting. Fire wood is abundant and free.
